Our team conducted Design Research for extending the U.S Army Corps of Engineers 'Natural Resource Management (NRM) Gateway' to Non-Corps audiences. Research involved task analysis, interviews and questionnaires. The report includes results, discussions and a set of recommendations.
We also tested hypotheses that led to the development of interactive interfaces in resource-based recreation management.

I created prototype interfaces for a Knowledge Management system that will serve a learning community centered on the U.S Army Corps of Engineers NRM Gateway.
Seeing knowledge work

As a part of my job in WIDE, I designed and prototyped a system for making writing practices visible and intelligible. The prototypes were created in Flash. Users can view communications that occur between team members through different perspectives, hence giving them an idea of which ones work best and which don't.
Copyright in the Digital Medium

I attempted to create a tool to teach the concept of 'Copyright in the Digital Medium' by creating new methods of interactions. The proposal has the ideas behind it, but the project wasn't completed by the end of the semester (and I never got back to it again).
I wanted to create a system where the users would create their own navigation system by choosing relavant options...hence it creates a sort of meta navigation. The basic construct is complete, but the navigation system has a few corrections to be made to.
Learning systems for an asynchronous online course

The aim of this research was pre-production of a 'Learning system for an online course'. This was my final project for a Design Research course. I conducted secondary research, ethnographic observation, interviews and focus groups as a part of the research.
